Following last year’s extremely successful event, I am once again writing on behalf of the Welsh Yachting Association North Wales Regional Committee to invite sailing clubs to participate in the

North Wales Boat Show
30th July  - 1st August 2010
at Vaynol Estate, Bangor

This event provides an opportunity for the North Wales clubs to showcase the diversity of sailing locations that we have on offer, and it is a brilliant opportunity to attract new memberships.

Once again there are likely to be three types of clubs that wish to participate:

1. Those who would like a full stand.
2. Those who would like a smaller stand and wish to share.
3. Those prepared to send people to man a central stand representing the WYA and would like to produce a flyer of their own clubs to hand out on the stand.

Any club that needs help with producing a flyer please contact your RDO for further information.

The main core of the display is to be the central WYA North Wales Sailing Stand, with clubs in satellite gazebos on either side. In the central area we will have a variety of boats on display. We also need people to man the central stand giving general advice and information about sailing in North Wales – you will also be able hand out your club flyers - and help with the various activities that take place on the stand.  You do not need to commit to the whole day; a morning or afternoon is fine.

There will be no cost to your club for the stand space, apart from any display material which the club might need to produce. You will need to bring your own Gazebo, but if you’re worried you can’t fill a whole one, there will be potential for sharing.  Whichever you decide you will need to make sure you’re sharing with someone, bringing one to share or bringing your own!  Please see the booking form for further information.

Once we know how many clubs will be attending, we will organise a meeting to discuss requirements for the display. Last year this worked well, as we found that some clubs could lend any necessary items to other clubs.

Each Club with their own stand will have an allocation of show passes and there will also be a limited number for those helping on the NW Sailing Stand. 

In return for the free stand space the only request from the Boat Show Organisers is that you place a link to their websites from yours.  Logo’s can be downloaded from www.northwalesboatshow.co.uk  In addition, they will add you to their website, to advertise your participation!
