The inaugural North Wales Boatshow took place on the Faenol Estate, near Caernarfon this past weekend.  It was a great success with a number of North Wales Clubs supporting the event in addition to the ‘North Wales Sailing’ Stand, manned by Regional Committee members. 

North Wales Sailing proved incredibly popular with ‘Name the Mystery Part of the Optimist’ competition being a highlight to many children’s day. Well done to winners Dan Whiteley, Josh Nicholls and Iwan Roberts. The chocolate bribery definitely helped and gave Parents and Grandparents time to chat. 

The lucky winners of the North Wales Sailing Prize Draw were Lindsay Price from Bethel, James Nicholls from Criccieth and Jonathon Street from Cheadle Hulme. They each collected a £25 voucher for Menai Marine. 

It was a great opportunity to up the profile of sailing in North Wales and the ‘ Try Sail’  provided by Plas Menai made the boat show experience all the more dimensional.
